Jan 2, 2011 · Hi everyone. I'm gonna get the stupid questions out of the way 1st here. I just bought a 2001 Scrambler 400 and a 2001 Trailblazer 250. Both have the same problem. The starter won't turn. they run great pulling the rope. I checked each with a good battery. Both of them have a click coming from the solenoid.

Only issue I have is it will not go into reverse. The light comes on as if it's in reverse but nothing happens. 2 posts · Joined 2012. #2 · Apr 3, 2012. my sons did the same thing. took the tranny apart and found the clip holding the reverse drive gear had slid down the shaft allowing the gear to move from being in contact with the main gear.
