If you connected some player to your radio via aux-in, there's basically nothing in the radio to cause the "jump", it'll be something happening in the external player. It seems that the functionality of the infotainment system is severely limited without it. For instance , I have to use Android Auto on my phone for navigation. Living in a rural area with poor cell coverage, this is problematic.
